When J+A, who live in California, decided they wanted a destination wedding in Europe but weren’t sure exactly where in Europe, the continent-wide search for the perfect venue began. Close to an international airport with enough activities in the local area for their family and friends to turn the trip into a vacation, Barcelona was top of our list. The ethereal La Baronia, close to the city centre, hidden amongst the surrounding hills, was the perfect castle venue for the intimate celebration.

The couple had a very clear vision for the minimalist style and chic monochrome aesthetic. We used touches of chiffon, vellum and cut glassware to add a romantic softness throughout the celebrations. The food reflected the location with a presentation of local cheeses and wines during the drinks reception (as well as a delicious live Jamon station) and paella for the main course. No Spanish celebration would be complete without a little flamenco dancing after the feasting.
