When J + A, a couple from California, decided to celebrate their love with a destination wedding in Europe, they wanted a location that would feel intimate, accessible for their guests, and full of character. After a continent-wide search, we discovered La Baronia, a romantic castle venue near Barcelona, perfectly tucked into the surrounding hills yet conveniently close to the city and international airports.

The couple envisioned a minimalist and chic monochrome aesthetic. To soften the elegance, we layered chiffon, vellum, and cut-glass textures throughout the styling, creating an understated romantic feel that complemented the venue’s historic architecture. Every detail - from design elements to guest experiences - was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s personality and ensure the day felt cohesive, intimate and joyous.

Celebrations began the night before with a sunset yacht tour featuring local musicians. On the wedding day, guests arrived at the spectacular La Baronia with a traditional drinks reception featuring local Spanish cheeses and wines alongside a live jamón station, offering guests a taste of the region. As an intimate celebration, the couple wanted to allow time and space for guests to relax, take in the rolling countryside views and catch up with family and friends. After dinner under the stars and a fun game of Mr and Mrs., it was time for cava and an evening elevated with flamenco dancing and a patisserie buffet.

Planning this wedding from abroad required careful coordination and attention to detail. Our team ensured every moment - from arrival to the ceremony and evening reception - flowed effortlessly, allowing J + A to relax and enjoy their European adventures.
